Welcome to the Southeastern Pennsylvania Chapter (formerly the Delaware Valley Chapter) of the APWA's website.

The 16th Annual APWA Symposium was held at the Radisson Hotel Valley Forge in King of Prussia for three days in early October.

Governor Rendell was our keynote speaker at the "Celebrate 75" banquet dinner on Wednesday night. He is pictured to the left receiving a plaque for his support of Public Works from Jack Connor, current Chapter President.

On the right of the dais Kevin Koch from the Philadelphia Dept of Streets and Past-President of the APWA, Bill Verkest look on. On the left of Jack, Mr and Mrs Paul Wnek from the New Jersey Chapter of the APWA are pictured.

The three tracks of classes received rave reviews from all attendees. Over 40 pieces of equipment were outside and over 50 vendors displayed inside in the conference hall.

A highlight of the Symposium was the "Women in Public Works" breakfast held on Thursday morning. Three recipients were awarded plaques to thank them for their service and dedication to Pennsylvania's public works sector. Valerie S. Temino, Municipal Services Supervisor from PennDOT, Jane Delheim from the Township or Tredyffrin and Debra Hoag from the City of Reading were each recognized and received an award at the ceremony.
